ABOUT
Family therapy provides a supportive space for families to strengthen relationships and navigate challenges together. Families are complex systems — when one member is struggling with ADHD, anxiety, OCD, eating disorders, or emotional regulation difficulties, it can impact the entire household.
Through structured, evidence-based telehealth sessions in Connecticut and South Carolina, we work to understand family dynamics and build healthier patterns of communication, connection, and support.
Family therapy may focus on:
• Improving parent-teen communication
• Supporting executive functioning and ADHD-related challenges at home
• Reducing conflict and emotional reactivity
• Strengthening boundaries and roles within the family
• Aligning goals and expectations
Family therapy is not about assigning blame — it’s about fostering understanding, improving relationships, and helping families move forward with clarity and cohesion.

Family Therapy Approaches
WHAT FAMILY THERAPY LOOKS LIKE
Family therapy sessions are collaborative, respectful, and tailored to your family’s unique needs. Whether your family is navigating ADHD, anxiety, OCD, emotional regulation challenges, or executive functioning difficulties, therapy focuses on strengthening communication and connection across the entire system.
Through structured, evidence-based telehealth, we may meet as a full family or in smaller groupings depending on goals and dynamics.
Sessions may focus on:
• Understanding recurring family patterns
• Improving communication and emotional expression
• Strengthening conflict-resolution and problem-solving skills
• Supporting emotional regulation for children, teens, and adults
• Clarifying roles, boundaries, and expectations
• Creating healthier routines and structures — especially for ADHD-related challenges
Family therapy offers a space where each member’s voice is heard, valued, and respected.
Families don’t need to be in crisis to benefit. Many seek therapy proactively to improve communication, deepen connection, and build stronger, more supportive relationships.
SUPPORTING ADOLESCENTS THROUGH FAMILY THERAPY

When children or adolescents are involved, therapy is developmentally appropriate and paced to support emotional safety.
Parents and caregivers play an essential role in family therapy. Sessions may include guidance, coaching, and education to help caregivers feel confident and aligned. Therapy supports parents in understanding their child’s emotional needs, responding effectively to challenging behaviors, navigating stress and burnout, and strengthening consistency and leadership within the family.
This collaborative approach helps ensure that progress made in therapy carries into daily family life.
LET’S GET STARTED
Taking the first step.
Reaching out for family therapy is a meaningful step toward connection and healing. A consultation provides an opportunity to discuss concerns, ask questions, and explore whether family therapy feels like the right fit for your family.
