ABOUT
Adolescence is a time of rapid growth, change, and self-discovery — and it can also feel overwhelming. Academic pressure, social dynamics, identity exploration, and emotional shifts can significantly impact a teen’s mental health.
I provide structured, evidence-based telehealth therapy for adolescents in Connecticut and South Carolina navigating ADHD, anxiety, OCD, eating disorders, perfectionism, and life transitions.
Adolescent therapy offers a supportive, developmentally attuned space where teens can:
• Explore thoughts and emotions safely
• Build coping and emotional regulation skills
• Strengthen executive functioning and confidence
• Improve communication and boundaries
Parents are supported throughout the process with appropriate collaboration and guidance, while maintaining the teen’s trust and autonomy.

WHAT ADOLESCENT THERAPY LOOKS LIKE
Integrity, creativity, and empathy guide our work. Sessions are developmentally appropriate, collaborative, and paced to meet your teen where they are — while gently supporting growth and skill development.
Therapy emphasizes trust and rapport, allowing teens to open up over time while building practical tools for real-life challenges.
Sessions may focus on:
• Understanding emotions and stress responses
• Building healthy coping and emotional regulation skills
• Strengthening executive functioning and organizational strategies
• Improving communication and self-expression
• Supporting self-esteem and identity development
Therapy isn’t about forcing conversations — it’s about creating a space where teens feel heard, respected, and supported while developing meaningful skills for long-term growth.
A COLLABORATIVE APPROACH WITH PARENTS
While therapy remains a confidential space for adolescents, parent involvement is an important part of the treatment process.
Parents participate in periodic check-ins focused on overall progress, general themes, and skill-building strategies, while respecting the adolescent’s privacy and autonomy.
This collaborative approach helps:
• Strengthen parent-teen communication
• Support skill practice at home (especially for ADHD and executive functioning)
• Align therapeutic and family goals
• Foster trust, emotional safety, and long-term growth
The goal is balance — protecting your teen’s confidential space while ensuring you feel informed, supported, and empowered as a parent.
“It’s not about getting the feeling out of the mind, or hiding it, but about experiencing it with acceptance.”
LET’S GET STARTED
Taking the First Step
Reaching out for support is a meaningful step — for both teens and parents. A consultation provides an opportunity to ask questions, discuss concerns, and determine whether adolescent therapy feels like the right fit.
